J043 Army Chore Jacket - Tan

Size:

The J043 is based on a vintage original 1943 U.S. Navy Type N-3 Jacket from our archive.

We’ve taken the original collar shape and emphasized it’s subtle curved point, and cut the front panels so they naturally roll out like a tailored jacket lapel. The J043 is cut slightly oversized with an extended shoulder-line to emphasize it’s military roots. The three exterior patch pockets are the same size and shape of the original 1943 version, which happens to be the same “wine glass” shape used in Neapolitan tailoring.

For the hardware we’ve chosen Japanese-made metal buttons due to their clean look and long-lasting nature. For the fabric, we’ve selected a 1940’s Military reproduction fabric in a classic lightweight HBT (Herringbone Twill). It’s perfect for those middle seasons, and true to the Informale approach will break in beautifully and develop character and patina over time.  In our eyes, this is the perfect Chore Jacket.
